Because I’m a Sucker For a Good Matching Moment

When I was a kid, more than just about anything in the world, I wanted to own a Daisy Kingdom dress. The floral/bunny patterns, pinafores, oversized collars and fluffy underskirts were all the rage in the early 90’s Baptist church we attended. Even “cooler” still was if you were able to match with your mom or a sibling. Since I didn’t have a sister to twin with me in true 90’s evangelical splendor, I dreamed of having a matching ensemble with my mom. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, if you’ve actually seen these dresses), Daisy Kingdom dresses were outside the realm of what my family could afford so my dream never came true and I never got to have that “matching moment” with my mom.

BUT, now that I’m a mom myself I can make my kids fulfill my matching dreams and believe me…I absolutely take full advantage of this as often as possible, because I know they will only tolerate it for so long. I may or may not have entire hashtags on Instagram that are dedicated to matching moments within our family (see: here, here and here). Ridiculous but true.

Thankfully, coordinating outfits have come a LONG way since the days of Daisy Kingdom puff sleeves. Enter Hanna Andersson and their Mommy & Mini collection. We’ve worked with Hanna Andersson in the past (see here and here) and have long been big fans of their amazing quality kids’ clothes, so when they offered to let us choose outfits from their coordinating collection, I could not have been more excited. Hanna Andersson, you just get me. Mommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonDreams do come true friends. All the heart eyes for buffalo plaid flannel x 3! Also…those little red clogs Fern is wearing?! I. Can’t. Even. Mommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonMommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonMommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonI also discovered after receiving these that there is a little boy’s buffalo plaid shirt to coordinate with these outfits, so obviously that needs to happen for Clive. Now to convince Craig to match with us, though I have a feeling he’ll be a tough sale. I’ve been trying to wear him down for years now about matching Hanna Christmas jammies, but so far it’s a no go. I still have faith that he can be convinced though. Mommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonMommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonMommy + Me Outfits With Hanna AnderssonMommy + Me Outfits With Hanna Andersson

So pretty much, if you are into being match matchy too (or if you need coordinating outfits for upcoming family photo shoots!), you should probably check out the rest of Hanna Andersson’s coordinating collection here. It’s seriously the cutest.
